Undergraduate Classes at California College of the Arts, Spring Semester 2024

I will be teaching two classes at California College of the Arts this semester. In the Jewelry and Metal Arts class, Connections and Contradictions, students will begin to develop more complex ideas as they move beyond the basics to more advanced techniques. We will focus on one form of jewelry (earrings, necklaces, brooches, etc) as we move from unit to unit and at the end of the semester, each student will have a collection of pieces that cover a range of techniques and contemporary themes. Then in Senior Project, I will help a group of students in painting, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, print media, jewelry, and more to develop their BFA senior shows while teaching professional development. They will leave the class with solid exhibition experience and a tool kit complete with a print and digital portfolio, CV, statement, bio, website, and business cards.
