Iceland, Four

$130.00

Iceland, Four is the fourth book in an in-progress series of books about Iceland and part of an archiving project that began in September 2023 during a residency at Hafnarborg Center for Art and Culture in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. When complete, the series will include seven books, one for each unique experience I have had in Iceland.

The 182-page book includes 90 images, plus 10 images of the work I made at the SÍM Residency in Reykjavík. My time there in July, 2016 was complemented by trips to West Iceland, Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Blönduós, Skagaströnd, and Hofsós, plus a hike up Esja, a mountain near Reykjavík. In addition to the images, there is a one-page essay at the beginning and a list of images in the back.

The pastel, softcover book, designed and independently published by me, was inspired by a series of Icelandic Sagas at the library in Skagaströnd, Iceland from my 2013 Nes Residency.
